The Senate removed Senator Leila de Lima
as Chairperson of the Committee on Justice and Human Rights.
It was Senator Manny Pacquiao's motion to declare the chairmanship and
membership of the Committee of Justice and Human Rights vacant
that paved the way on a 16-4-2 Vote.
De Lima allegedly accused President Duterte as the person behind her removal.
Senator Richard Dick Gordon replaced Leila De Lima as chair of the said committee.
